1.  Why should a business have an AED?

Sudden Cardiac Arrest can occur anywhere, anytime including at the office and at work. In fact, about 10,000 cardiac arrests occur in the workplace each year, and most Americans spend the majority of their time during the week at work. Having AEDs at your corporation increases the chances of survival by providing immediate, lifesaving treatment while waiting for emergency medical services to arrive on scene. Quick access to an AED can make a significant difference in saving lives in your workplace!  

2.  Where do you put an AED in an office?

It’s best to keep your office’s automated external defibrillator stored in a highly trafficked, publicly accessible location such as behind a front desk or in a lobby. An AED that cannot be located during an emergency is of no use to the person suffering in the critical moments following a Sudden Cardiac Arrest. To be most impactful, an AED should be stored in an accessible location within 2 minutes of any spot in the facility.

3.  What is the biggest advantage of using an AED?

The biggest advantage of using an AED is the lifesaving potential it provides to those experiencing a Sudden Cardiac Arrest. With an AED in your office, you can deliver a lifesaving shock before emergency medical services arrive on the scene of an emergency. Every minute a person is in cardiac arrest, their chances of survival decrease by 10% - so being able to provide a shock from an AED quickly is often the difference between life and death for those experiencing cardiac arrest.

We provide a limited warranty to the original end user for our AED units and associated accessories. Our AED's are warranted for five (5) years from the date of shipment. If the AED is registered with the REALConnect™ maintenance services, the warranty is extended to eight (8) years. Disposable Avive Pad Cartridges are warranted until the expiration dates listed on the package. All other approved accessories are warranted for 90 days, or the expiration date, whichever is later.
